Febrile Seizures Identified as Potential Cause of Sudden Unexplained Deaths of Children

Science Article
I wrote this article for a health publication aimed at a general audience to highlight recent findings on the connection between seizures and sudden, unexplained deaths in children. The article summarizes a study published in Neurology that suggests seizures may be responsible for many cases of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) and sudden unexplained death in childhood (SUDC). My goal was to present these complex findings in a clear, accessible way to raise awareness among the general public about the potential role of seizures in sleep-related deaths and the need for further research.
